1/3 c. chopped onions 1/2 t. pepper 5 T. butter 5 c. milk 5 T. flour
6 c. thinly sliced potatoes 1 1/4 t. salt
In a large sauce pan, saute onion in butter til tender. Stir in flour, salt & pepper until blended. Gradually add milk. Bring to a boil, cook and stir for two minutes til sauce thickens. Place half of potatoes in 13 x 9 dish. Cover with half sauce mixture and repeat. Bake uncovered fro 60 to 70 minutes in a 350 degree oven. Yield 8 servings.
This is a great dish to serve with chicken, pork chops and salsbury steak.
