 Edison High School Class of 1965 - Latest News 12-13-2005 - It's In the Mail....Almost!! Even though it's the busiest season of the year, Santa still found time to designate a very special project to a 'helper' we could all count on.....dear, dear Marian Eskridge Sexton. Despite some serious falls due to a knee that sometimes gives out on her (it did this at the reunion, too), and some painful days, Marian has single-handedly managed to work and rework an 'Edison Calling' that could be printed and sent to all of you without breaking the bank. Thanks to her contact at Acorn Printing, we have a very professional-looking finished product at a very reasonable cost. And, I am in the process of getting envelopes stuffed, stamped and sealed so these will be in the mail this week. The new 'Edison Calling' is a directory listing all of our classmates. It includes an 'In Memory Of' list, a 'Missing Classmates' list, as well as names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses for the rest of us. Now, we told you we'd keep your info private.......on the website. We have not and will not post anything on the website pertaining to anyone's personal info without their okay, since information on the Internet can be shared by the entire world. However, we did include everyone's basic info in this directory that will be sent to no one except those within our own class. It is our hope that this directory will encourage many of you to get in touch with those with whom you have lost touch over the years, that those who attended the reunion will contact those who did not and encourage them to become a more active part in the next reunion.... and,yes, there WILL be a 45th. Speaking of future reunions, while some earlier discussions were tossed around regarding reunions in other locations, possibly a cruise, etc.....we will NOT be doing any of that, on a class-wide basis. Our primary desire is to keep reunions centrally located right here in Tulsa, with activities that are fun, casual, uplifting.....Most of all, it is our desire to have reunions that are affordable for all who would like to attend. That's important. Our Reunion Planning Committee has pledged to continue to get together every 3 or 4 months for fellowship and sharing of ideas. We will attempt to post those meetings on the website, too. We hope you will continue to use the website and your new Edison Calling to stay in touch with us and with each other. There are additional photographs that will be posted in the near future. And, please feel free to post your own photos. May you have a blessed Christmas season and a joyous New Year. And, be thinking about a reunion in 2010.....let us know what season, month, whatever, would be the best time for you to be able to attend.
