Still in Tucson, not working, but life is ok. Still riding my bicycle and playing golf. Just bought a pop up camper so I can avoid hotels on trips to see my kids and granddaughters in N. California (Los Altos Hills and Santa Cruz).
Wish I could visit my Mom, she is in a nursing facility in Tulsa. She is still doing ok at 94! Too bad about our reunion. Dang the Covid thing. Just lost a cousin to it. He was older.

I am currently not working but after a long career in restaurants like Chimi's Mexican Food which I founded in 1983. Managing hotels in Florida, Texas,
Arizona, New Mexico and California was the next chapter.

I learned today that one of our classmates passed away during the 50th reunion. Her name was Cindy Hendricks. Cindy was listed as lost but has lived in Tulsa for years. She suffered from MS. Her sister is a friend. Maybe some of you knew her; Karen Hendricks Warlick. Sad to lose another classmate.

Is there going to be a 50th (1965) reunion?
Gary B Gomez - 04-26-2011
Well the adventure continues. I am in Tucson now. I'm looking for work and starting a new chapter. I would still dearly love to find my friend Linda Thomas, if anyone knows where she is? I think I updated my info for the last reunion. So give me a call or e-mail. Gary

I ran across this website, and wow what a nice site. While high school was not quite my forte I was quite pleased to see pictures of people I remember. Was it that long ago ? I was saddened to learn of the passing of Nanette Coffin Reding I remember what a kind person she was. I was also taken aback at the passing of others I knew, I guess I just thought we would all live forever. On a lighter note where did all that gray hair come from? I am back in Tulsa and I must say things have changed alot. I remember alot of people and if anyone remembers me I would love to hear from you. My e mail address is email@example.com.

What fun! Sorry I am working in California (bay area) though my home is still in Austin, Texas. Wish I could have made it! Everyone looks great. I am sad about the ones that are gone. Several this year. Thanks for such a great site. I was surprised Linda Thomas was not there, last I knew she had a farm in far N. Tulsa. Let me know if anyone is out here or comes out to San Francisco or Napa for a visit. I operate a hotel 45 min. N. of SF and 15 min. from Napa.

Fantastic website! Truly regret missing the reunion. I am busy this weekend, volunteering with the relocation of the hurricane victims to Oklahoma & Tulsa.
I look foward to seeing pictures of the 40th reunion & read about how everyone is doing.
As for how I am doing..fine. Teach first grade for ELL children at Cooper(Tulsa Public Schools). My son is 27 & works for Pepsi here in Tulsa. My daughter is 31 & lives in Dallas working as a pharmaceutical sales rep

This may be the first time a guy from Rogers---has shown up on the Edison Eagle website. I did go to Wright Jr. High and was lucky to have met part of your class.
Thank you for listing classmates who have passed away. My high school girlfriend was Janis Carey from the class of '65---a sweet, wonderful lady who passed away in May of 1977. She will be at your 40th reunion in spirit.
I did play baseball against Richard Slicker---and he struck me out 17 times. Janis would always have a tough time---getting razzed-- at school---the day after Rogers played Edsion. Richard had a mean fastball.
If any old friends ever get to Hawaii----look us up. We live on Oahu on the Windward side in a small town: Kailua. Chandler4kailua@aol.com is our email:
Have a fun reunion.

I thoroughly enjoyed touring the Class of 65's web site!!! What a great experience that brought back tons of memories. I sincerely wish that I could attend the reunion, but didn't find out about it until now so just can't make plans this quickly. I sent some messages to former classmates and certainly hope to receive some return communication. If any of you are ever in Atlanta, call me.

I have intended to contact some of you in advance to say hello, but haven't yet. Soooooo HELLO, if I don't get around to individual greetings I apologize. I am looking forward to seeing everyone and I hope everyone will be wearing their name tag!!!!

Edison still figures prominently in my career. If Jamey and Archie had not been so eloquent and unique, I would never have formed Eloqui, a presentation and communication training company based in Los Angeles. With clients, I use stories of Eagles wrestling tournaments, Jamey in the 'James Dean' red nylon jacket, and dating Dee Dee Knapp. Our high school fostered great memories, and was a colorful place to hail from. Business and distance may preclude my attendance at the 40th, but I will raise a glass and toast you all for some of the best years of my life.
